Holiday Inn Rochester-Chatham, an IHG Hotel

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Diggerland (11 mins drive) and Chatham Docks (17 mins drive). It was spot on for a family trip - two adults and a five year old. We stayed in a premier room which was comfortable and very quiet. We had a breakfast and dinner package (very good value booked 3+ months ahead), and the breakfast was superb. A good choice at dinner too with some flexibility to order from the main menu. We used the pool once and really enjoyed it - it was quiet (at 8am) and warm. The hotel staff were all very welcoming. A special mention to Michelle in the restaurant who was friendly and super helpful. Our son was given an Easter goodie bag on arrival and had an Easter egg and Fruit Shoot on his bed, which he was delighted with. A lovely touch, thank you. We had a great stay - our first time at a Holiday Inn and we'd definitely return.

When we booked in they gave us a very small double room. We slept there the first night but found it very hot and and small so went to reception and asked to be moved. A lovely young lady names Siobhan said she would try and find us another room. We went and had breakfast and went back to see her and she had found us a lovely large room. She was very helpful. I asked to have some softer pillows and the housekeep bought them straight away. We eat in the restaurant one evening and the food was very nice. We can't fault the staff or the cleanliness. Nothing was to mush trouble. We stayed here many years ago and it really has improved 100 %. We will differently stay here again. Well done

Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. They were accommodating to change our room to one closer to the lift because the allocated ground floor room was too long a walk for my 86 year old aunt. Cleaners paid attention to detail and full of smiles. Breakfast - good range and was yummy! The hotel was well presented and had a great ambience. The location felt safe, and parking was a bonus along with walking distance access to some shops and a gym. Short drive or Uber trip to explore the sights of Rochester. This hotel was a pleasant surprise, and I'll be back.

Stayed here whilst attending Buckmore Park karting track. It’s half a mile away great location. The rooms are clean and modern. The reception is lovely and the restaurant is very good. Staff were fantastic and Lisa in the restaurant was just incredible. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was of excellent quality. The steak was cooked perfectly and the desserts are also stunning. The quality of the food here is bang on. The wine selection is also good and staff keep it flowing! The breakfast for £12.00 is Buffet style and there was fresh hot food including scrambled eggs, back bacon, sausages, hash browns, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding and lovely breads for toast. The pool is clean and well looked after. Probably one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in in the UK whilst racing. Plenty of parking as well and Wi-Fi is good. TVs in room are if good quality as well.

The location was ideal for my visit to a local business but not sure if there was anywhere else around that was worth while visiting ? Breakfast was good and shame the pool was closed on my visit but not changed my option on the hotel. Bar/restaurant staff were great, polite and helpful and the menu was varied and what o ordered was very good !
